It depends on the person. A friend of mine claimed it cured his stutter and now we smokes multiple times a day. And weed makes him more productive and he's a workaholic now. For me, weed didn't help my stutter. And I've tried all manner of strains. Sativa, Indica, Hybrid. How weed will effect will largely depend on your genetics. Most people when they smoke weed are less productive, have slower processing speed and memory but for my friend it makes him more focused.
