Technique I'm trying to develop So when I was much younger I discovered a technique on accident and I've recently been trying to develop it into something more useful and discreet. The basic idea is to have a block diversion or scapegoat. As in, do something before a block to ensure you don't have a block. I figured this out by stuttering on a word before a word I knew I would have trouble saying and kind of convinced myself that I got the block out of the way, and it actually worked. For example, if I wanted to order a medium coffee and I was certain I would have a bad block on "coffee", I could say "I'd like a m-medium coffee". Ideally it would be something less noticeable than an actual stutter, maybe a slightly elongated vowel or something that tricks you into thinking that you won't stutter because of it. If anyone has any input, it would be appreciated.
