In the communication class (a million years ago) we stood up and spoke in front of the class regularly. Volunteer to present first. Sitting and dreading your turn will only up the anxiety. Be bold. Lean into each speaking opportunity. This class can be a tremendous opportunity if you approach it as such. Don't half-ass it. Use the space. Most teachers or effective presenters aren't rooted to one spot. I find movement helps to relax me a bit. And it also lends itself to the next point... Command the attention of your audience. When you are speaking, the room belongs to you. And give your classmates the attention and respect you'd like to receive. Little anecdote... I once closed another student's laptop during a presentation without missing a beat. As I was speaking, they were obviously not focused on my presentation. I found their typing to be disrespectful. So as I moved around the room, I walked in front of their table and closed the laptop. Their expression was priceless.
