Just wanna say - I am just in my final year of a performance degree and I have a speech impediment. It started out as a stutter and has now developed into a stutter and full blown dysarthria. And some days it sucks to talk in front of people and try and communicate. But on those days I just do it anyway. It sounds dumb, but that's what helped me out being good at presentations and performance, just doing it anyway and realising that I don't end up dying because I stutter. Taking pauses is terrifying, but honestly it's fine. You just gotta learn to own the pausing.
