Are there any pills that help? Will taking anxiety pills offer any help? When I'm at home, surrounded by my close family, I speak as fluently as a politician. But I cannot go to the doctor, cannot make phone calls and cannot order food. Basically can't live life normally. Im 20, and my sister came with me to the doctor today (dermatologist for an unrelated issue), and she talked to them on my behalf. I used to get really depressed about it, not anymore as in, I don't cry myself to sleep, but this disability is really Ruining my life. My sister will one day go live somewhere else, who will take me to the hospital then? In situations where I dont have anything planned to say, a.k.a small talk I kill it, very fluent. But in presentations, food ordering, name saying, so in situations where I KNOW what I have to say, my stutter grade is basically 10. I cannot get the word out.
