I’m a oldish guy now. In my 40s. When I was in my early 20s I got a job operating audio conference calls (used to be a thing). I had to essentially lead the call. Introduce new attendees and read questions out loud that people would send me to ask on their behalf during the call. It was nerve racking. I blocked and stuttered frequently at first. Eventually I started to enjoy the work. I got past the fear. It didn’t end the stuttering but it did reduce it significantly. The stuttering that did still occur just became a characteristic of my speech, no longer amplified by anxiety and fear. A brief halt, a drawn out or repeated sound, was just me and how I talked. No one noticed, or if they did it was just a passing thought. Over time it has reduced now to the point where it is nearly nonexistent. Probably because with age comes a naturally lower concern of what other people think. What you are doing here is awesome! I thought I was pretty brave getting that job back then but this is double black diamond difficulty for sure. Keep it up :)
