There was a point a little before the Pandemic that I could use light contact of the first consonant of my name (the dreaded /k/ plosive) which would usually either result in the other people understanding it or repeating it to make sure they understood. Hello! I've also been a stutterer since I was a child. I wonder how many of us neurodevelopmental stutterers are on this sub. May have to post another poll to satisfy my curiosity. Names are usually have the hardest blocks, don't know why that is but it seems to be universal amongst people who stutter. The light articulatory contact for that /k/ plosive works wonders, though. My name's starts with the same sound and when I use a light contact for that "k", sometime the very lightest contact will do, the other person/people either understand or repeat it to confirm. Quite the trick, really.
