I used to work in a supermarket Cafe and the number of times, a customer would finish my sentence, I’d get told to “spit it out” as in the word. I’ve been laughed at, mimicked and told to “speak properly”. When I’ve been on the phone before, I’ve tried to get my words out and the person on the other end has said “hello, hello” 🙄
