Does listening to music help you stutter less?

Does listening to music help you stutter less? Hey guys! I am an undergraduate here at University of Illinois at Chicago. This school is pretty research heavy. Anyways, as a kid my stutter really did inhibit me from doing the things I love and to really expand my knowledge. It drove me down this deep hole where it almost drove me to suicide. I’ve read so many posts here years ago and it made me feel like I wasn’t the only one. Looking back at it now, I told myself that it’s not going to be the designated driver in my life no more. A few weeks ago, I grew the balls to ask to be a research assistant for my TA in my Psychology Class. He is doing research in Music Psychology, specifically if listening to Lofi music will help you remember the material you studied. I asked him about it and he said he’s going to pull some strings. He also asked to meet up and talk about my own research interests. Not gonna lie, I was 1 wrong step away from shitting a mural on the wall. In the meeting, I talked about how I had a stutter and it really made me who I am. I brought up the fact that music helped me tremendously when presenting in front of a whole class. He seemed very intrigued and surprised. In all, do you guys think music helps you stutter less? When I do start working as a RA, that might be my first topic I will research and I would love for your guys experiences.
