I definitely get where you're coming from. It's happened to me quite a few times where somebody will hold a door open for me and I just can't get myself to say thank you because of my stutter. It makes me feel like shit because that person did something nice for me and I couldn't even say thank you and now they probably think I'm some stuck up asshole.
