See, I only started to stutter in my early to mid teen years and it was around the time when things became very shitty too. I stutter infront of everyone, family, friends, strangers, and it's worse when I'm panicked or out of breath or thirsty. When I'm alone, I can't stutter. I've tested it out even recently by doing a few tongue twisters and I say them fine, maybe not the fastest but still faster than normal speech without a stutter. I can't do impressions, I lack the talent but I have noticed when I speak in a slightly deeper voice that sounds natural enough to pass, I stutter less, same when I take deep breaths and try to slow my breathing too but that sometimes proves difficult for some reason, I forget how to breath naturally and it ends up a complete mess, and causes me to stutter a lot on simple words and phrases that shouldn't cause me to stutter, if that makes sense. And thank you for your help and kind words! I'm in the UK and when I went to my speech therapist, I was under 18 so it was free, but still felt a waste of time.
