SLP Student looking to hear from people who stutter Hi there, I do not have a stutter, but I am a speech language pathology student. I’m in a class about stuttering and many of our assignments involve interacting with members of the stuttering community and hearing about their experiences. I was hoping some of you might be able to help me out and answer the following questions 1. What has your general experience with having a stutter been like? 2. Has your stutter changed at all throughout your life? 3. How did your family/friends respond to your stutter? Were they helpful and patient, were they frustrated, did they just not talk about it, etc? 4. How has your view of yourself been affected by your stutter? 5. Do you view your stutter as part of your identity? Why or why not? 6. What is one thing you wish more people knew about stuttering? Thanks so much!
