Thanks for this. I also tried the SpeechEasy and it did work for me - when I could wear it. However, I work remote so when I have meetings I wear headphones and those do not work with the SpeechEasy. I stopped wearing it completely when I had to stand to kick off a conference I hosted in Rome. The minute I started talking, my SpeechEasy crackled and died in my ear. I just had to keep going, I stuttered a few times but got through it just fine. Over the past 4 years, I've been doing voice-over work and I find that really helps with my fluency. Years of speech therapy where I was made to read things aloud taught me that I have to "exercise" my speech just like others exercise for fitness. I'm starting to do morning vocal exercises to keep my muscle memory in check. My stutter is developmental and I've always had it. I was diagnosed in kindergarten and I went to speech therapy until after I graduated college (with honors in computer science - and I'm a woman by the way!). I am still in touch with my childhood speech therapist and I call on her when I need help with a tune-up. There's nothing we can't do, my friends. Don't ever forget that!
