I hate it when talking on the phone to a stranger and they think there is a bad connection No, I’m not in a bad area, I’m not breaking up I have a stutter. Please don’t shoot me down by saying I’m breaking up. My day had been going so well up to that point. I had to call my eye doctor back to cancel an appointment for a little later today because my insurance won’t cover it until the first of next month. I hate making phone calls but sometimes there is no other way without driving an unnecessary long distance to talk face to face. I want to get contacts and retire my glasses for a little while and was so looking forward to going into work tomorrow without glasses. Now not only can I not get fitted for contact lenses, I also have to call them back in a couple days when I get my work schedule. Anyone else here hate making phone calls? It’s like every time I call up someone who doesn’t personally know me they always say there is a bad connection. What’s worse is that one word that the majority of us can’t say at all. You know the one, it’s the title of the thread. I can’t even get past the first sound of the word stutter. I can’t just say on phone calls, “it’s not a bad connection, I have a stutter.” You have no idea, or maybe you do, how happy I was to find out when my doctor’s office started using a website to make appointments and give test results by a click of a button. I often put off going to the doctor for ages so I didn’t have to call them. Being able to make, cancel, reschedule appointments and see test results is a godsend. Sorry about the long post, I just hate it when I have to make a phone call, particularly to someone I don’t even know.
