I'm also 18 man. It's tough but not as tough as you think. If you work hard to manage your stutter better, you'll see results. Before speaking to someone, I usually plan out whole conversations so I make sure I don't think in the middle of my sentence or that I don't stutter. But most of the time I do and that's it, it's not a big deal. If that person shows discontent or some sort of irritation due to your stutter, they're not worth talking to. I've said this same thing so many times in this subreddit because it's completely true. I actually stutter the most with my family and one or two of my close friends and it's quite annoying, but except for my mum and brother, everyone else who I speak to on a regular basis has accepted that this is the way I talk and I have done the same about their own speech regardless of if they have a stutter or not.
