Really interesting post. I can empathise with you. I’m 43, from the UK, have had a mild stammer all my life and have struggled over the years with something like what you describe: unable to finish sentences because i can’t ‘find’ the word I want. In the past I’ve possibly conflated my stammer and not-finding-the-right-word (anomia?) I have always put this down to a lack of intelligence. So, thanks for posting because it’s made me reflect on my speech. Mike
