Been stuttering since I was 5 something, was shy, bullied in school, was invisible to girls in college as someone put it down in the comments, still hate phone calls and interviews, even talking to my own kids can be difficult on a bad day. But then here I am at 44 - 2 marriages, 4 kids total, steady career growth since I graduated (and yes, both the ex and current wife are fluent). Find purpose in life. If you love nature - hiking, biking, skiing, climbing, backpacking will keep you going and you'll meet with people that value the same me. If you're into tech - pursue a career no matter what, don't give up and you'll find your way through. Find and join a local support group of fellow stutterers, don't be alone in it.
