Do NOT give up by any means. Ultimately you will hate yourself more for it. I studied in accounting and finance in university, expecting myself to land jobs that left me on the backend of company operations, where I could excel technically and not have to speak. In my time since graduating and picking up jobs in my field, it's become very clear that I will not get any upward traction unless I stop caring about my speech and just speak. Things I would wait on (like sharing my ideas with supervisors) have stopped happening entirely and I've found a real groove for myself. Start firstly by not letting the stutter define you, then you will succeed.
