I don't believe in God anymore, but I asked myself that question all the time growing up. My "answer" (from other people) was that it helped make me more empathetic and caring. I've been through the ringer and I don't like to see other people going through it as well. Every time you make someone smile, you can thank your stutter just a little bit.
