There are better ways to solve your problems than running away from them. I have stuttered almost my whole life and get anxious while speaking many times. I mostly do it out of fear that the other person will think I'm weird or mentally challenged, when in actuality I'm a normal guy that wants my voice to be heard. Although I will not voluntarily speak out most of the time, I'm intelligent enough to carry sophisticated conversation. Anyway, I'm trying to say that I know how you feel. I always look forward to moving on to better things and becoming more prosperous in life. Don't let the fear of anyone's words or discouragement be a factor to your success. You have a purpose and a voice. If your anxiety seems too overwhelming, I'd recommend visiting a psychologist to be prescribed anti-anxiety medication. Doing so does not mean that you are crazy in any way whatsoever. I have a family member that does not stutter, but suffers from stress related anxiety. After a few months of consuming an anti-anxiety prescription they showed a lot of improvement.
