One bad example is from Glee when Tina faked having a stutter because she was shy and didn't want to give a presentation in school. I remember watching this as a kid and being so mad. I thought, why would anyone voluntarily put themselves through this. And why couldn't glee fully commit to having a stuttering character. We already have shit representation as it is.
