Honestly, while I value proper terminology, sometimes the imperfect words are ok, as long as you provide description. I have absolutely thought “I need to fix/cure my stutter” but understand it can be misleading. While I will always be more prone to repetitions, blocks and bumpy speech, as long as I stay vigilant and practice the habits that decrease the stress and impact, I am sorta “fixed”.
