Try “negative practice” by yourself. Intentionally stutter on your name. Say what ever you would say eg: I’m ———“ it a hundred times intentionally stuttering some of the time and saying your name without intentionally stuttering. Just have fun with it. The only objective is to say the sentence 100 times. If you intentionally stutter;great. If you accidentally stutter: great. If you are fluent; great. How fluent you are is not the point. The important thing is to say your sentence and keep going no matter what. I expect you will either “stutter fluently” (a brief rep or prolongation for example,) or not stutter at all with this kind of practice. Keep the 100x practice sets say 1-2 times per day. What happens is you will have disrupted the conflict between avoidance and speaking. Your name will lose its power if you permit yourself to stutter (or not.).
