Did you go to speech therapy? Did it help? Why or why not? I am a student who is studying to be a speech pathologist (AKA speech therapist). I have read some threads about stuttering and sometimes come across comments like, ''I had speech therapy but it didn't do anything'' or ''speech therapy was a waste of time''. I still have many more classes to take to become a licensed speech pathologist, but I am curious what things worked and didn't work in speech therapy. What techiniques did your SLP use with you? The scope of speech pathology is huge and sometimes it seems overwhelming to get enough information about all of the subareas we work with (stuttering, voice, aphasia, etc.), but I would love to get more information :-) Of course, I know that what works for one person might not work for another. If you have an programs, videos, or websites that you recommend to check out, I'm all ears (Or well, eyes...you get the point!)
