This is the most interesting post I’ve seen in this subreddit. I’ve been going to speech therapy for a while now and my therapist told me that stutterers/stammerers develop different traits to fluent people and I’ve thought about it all the time since then. I spend every second of every day in my head and I think about many things from the past and from the future and I’m convinced it’s because of my stammer. I’ve always felt like I think about everything much more than any of my friends for example I think about what I say and I think about how what I’m saying will affect the people around me and stuff like that. I definitely lack some assertiveness but I guess it evens out because I’m 6 foot 6 so I don’t necessarily have to be assertive. But some of the things on this list are definitely true and it’s so interesting how a speech disorder completely shapes a persons life in bad and good ways
