I think most people don’t care that you stutter. Yes, you will have assholes that make fun of you but they are not worth your time. Fear of public speaking is very common, including among people who are fluent. The only way to overcome it is to practice it. You like the gym and MMA. Maybe practice giving instruction on these topics to yourself or your pet, if you have one. Once you feel good with that, move onto a trusted family member or friend. I stutter and I give better presentations than most of my peers who are fluent. I actually think my stutter makes me a better presenter because I practice the heck out of them - this helps with rambling and helps me identify and have answers for potential questions. This also makes for a more casual and fun presentation. I have a wall of motivational quotes at work. Here are a few on which to ponder: Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right. A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure. We can complain because rose bushes have thorns or rejoice because thorns have rose bushes. Every day may not be good but there is good in every day. Your speed does not matter. Forward is forward. (End quotes). I am a fan of fake it, until you make it. Fake a positive outlook and you will soon have a positive outlook. You’ve got this!!!
