The idea that there are subgroups within stuttering is still a hypothesis. There are not conclusive data to suggest this is true. > or they just didn't work hard enough. And I'm willing to debate with anyone who says otherwise. Now here I mean to be this person: you need to be careful here. This type of thing pisses me off about the programmatic fluency-shaping therapies. They're all different variations on a theme, whether it's McGuire, Camperdown, Hollins, SSMP whatever else there is. They're all variations of the same techniques packaged a bit differently. I'm glad it worked for you, but directly saying that a particular program didn't work because the person was lazy is not okay.
