I definitely stuttered less on the phone. Sometimes the opening part would get me though. I think it has something to do with feeling more alone. I started paying attention to things like this and noticed I didn’t really know anybody’s eye color because I never looked them in the eye. I was amazed when my wife could recall the eye color of everyone we knew and I realized I wasn’t even 100% confident of the eye color of my immediate family members. I started making it a point to look people in the eye and noticed my speech improved when I did.
