For me, it was the realisation that 99.9% of people you encounter simply don't care about your stutter. Everyone is walking around, in their own heads and with problems of their own. The majority of people that you meet, won't spare you a second thought. Experiences that you might replay in your head, they've already forgotten about them and are getting on with their lives.
