Some people just make you feel comfortable - it could be their appearance, their body language, their voice, their face, hell, maybe even they hairstyle. I remember meeting Troy Baker a couple of years ago. He is an A-list video game voice actor and won numerous awards for his performance in The Last of Us. I am a huge fan of his, and obviously, as a stutter, I knew that talking to him would mean stuttering a lot and totally squandering my chances of having a conversation. But when we started to talk, my stuttering completely went away. I talked to him about a lot of stuff and did not stutter even once, and i was getting constantly surprised mid-conversation about what was happening. Baker is a friendly guy but I think what calmed me was his voice. Naturally, he has an incredible voice, it's nice and boomy with excellent clarity. It put me at ease immediately and made me very happy that I could hold a conversation with someone like him
