I’m in academia and have presented in a bunch of conferences. I always give them a heads up, but honestly academic culture (STEM at least) is really utilitarian. They only care about my research results, not how I present them. So I guess that’s unnecessary for me, but I’m still trying to deal with some deep insecurities I guess…
