Thanks for participating in the research! My and Scott’s research touches on the internal experience of stuttering but not in the same way Eric’s does. For example, we have data showing how common covert stuttering behaviors are and what aspects of a person’s life experiences are significantly associated with those. Learning to hide, learning to disguise or attempt to prevent moments of stuttering from happening is learned as a person deals with all the effects of the condition. we’re trying to understand how that happens so we can help clinicians help people who stutter avoid those negative spirals. We also have data on related aspects, such as how anticipation (the thought you might stutter) can become a habit that leads to all sorts of negative outsoles. If you’d like, I can send you our papers on these. Pm this account with an email address and I’ll send them your way. (Sorry for the word vomit).
