These are my tips: * don't pay attention to stuttering in the sense of not let it bother you. If you stutter, don't stress or overthink * don't try to control your articulators like tongue * don't do secondary behaviors like tensing muscles * if you have trouble breathing, do proper deep breathing when speaking * if you are stuttering or recently stuttered, don't focus on the stutter experience because that will lead to expecting more stutters * before you speak, don't anticipate stuttering (past patterns don't always repeat) * before you speak, don't have a condition that you can't. (Or that you will stutter) * final tip: if you stutter with your date, just know that you did your best speaking. Don't have an opinion about it if you stutter a lot (because labeling or black white thinking leads to anticipation)
