I was a cashier at a grocery store. Keep in mind I’m 17 and was 16 at the time, and to see adults tease or laugh my stutter when trying to make small talk was super disheartening. People are just assholes, and I’ve learned you just have to be friends with people who don’t care. Which is sad it’s even an issue to begin with.
