I got the job I was interviewing for..and Now I'm mother fucking negotiating it on my terms because my stutter does not make me a lesser candidate than anyone nor will I let it. I posted a while back about a phone screen interview I had, durint which I stuttered and blocked profusely. I couldn't even get a hello out at the start of the call and to my surprise I got called in for an in person interview. I stuttered freely during my in-person interview but utilized body language, eye contact and a big 'ol smile to set the tone. They knew and respected my skills, experience and answers despite blocking, pausing and stuttering like mad. I was in a really depressed slump before this, being unemployed and scared af to get out there with my speech being at its worst in years. I just want you to guys to not limit yourself and be held back in life because you think the world is a cruel place that will eat you up because you stutter. To be truthful, if thats how you perceive it, that will become your reality. You do not need to be fluent to get a job, a career, a relationship, an experience or to be happy. You need to accept who you are and all that you come with. Instead of focusing on how bad you think your stutter may be, try focusing on all the skills youre great at it and if not, work on something that separates you from others. Good luck and don't settle for what "you think" is possible. Think big and achieve big.
