I had an early SpeechEasy device (around 2006 I think), I’ve had speech therapy and tried apps for meditation and mindfulness. The best solution I can recommend is looking into breathing exercises (taking a breath and slowing down when you reach a block, etc). It may not work 100% every time but it’s the most consistent thing I’ve had to rely on.
