Thanks for answering! I understand that people have good intentions, so my frustration is rarely directed at the people saying they stutter. I think it is more of a frustration with the situation. I wish I was in a position to educate more people on what it's like to have a stutter. Or for a new word to exist so I can differentiate the two meanings better. And I think it's that lack of realism there that leads me to feel annoyed. Anyway, I appreciate your advice about not giving power away. Thank you again for your response, and for sharing your experience with me.
