Talking to Teachers About my Stutter?

Talking to Teachers About my Stutter? My speech therapist told me that I should tell my new teachers about my stutter and ask that they try to understand and be patient with me. It makes me nervous just thinking about talking to the new teachers that I’ll have next semester. Does anyone have any advice on how to tell them, or how to not be so nervous. (I tend to stutter a lot more when I’m nervous)
