That makes perfect, coherent sense. I believe that is true for myself. One only has control over their reactions and emotions, truly, it’s the only control you have in life. We still don’t understand the human mind but I’d bet once we do it will open so many doors to explanation in the world of stuttering. I ask you to force yourself into uncomfortable situations, and I guarantee you will prove to your brain that stuttering, in front of a new group of people or whatever it may be, is not as bad as the hundreds of outcomes you had imagined in your head. I used to torture myself with projection and my imagination, and what I learned at the end of the day is that nobody has ever been even near as hard on my stutter as I am. “Your harshest critic is always going to be you”
