I'm 22 and I've never been in a relationship myself. While I think I'm pretty pathetic myself for it, it's mostly because I never tried really conversing with people afraid of what they'd say. At one of my past jobs I talked pretty often, trying to overcome myself by conversing when I could, but the inevitable happened and I ended up stuttering and one of my coworkers said " ni*** did you just stutter?" Total confidence breaker. I became more silent after that. But I think it's definitely more difficult for people like us to find someone we'd be comfortable with, but it's not impossible. Give it some time to work through your anxiety on speaking on people at your gym or job and maybe you'll find someone for you.
