Does anyone else get the feeling that the word your trying to say is stuck in your chest/throat while stuttering? I'm going to try and explain this the best possible way I can. I've stuttered since I have been able to talk. I'm 23 now and it's gotten a little better over the years but it's still hard. When I'm talking I'll visibly mouth the word I'm trying to say but no sound comes out and it feels like there's a pressure in my throat or chest. Usually when this happens I'll grunt and try again because that releases the pressure but sometimes my sentences would be a single word followed by a couple grunts of me trying to get the other words out. It doesn't always happen but it does occur multiple times a day, mainly at work. Does anyone else experience this sort of thing?
