Don't be scared man. Its all about the attitude. You gotta walk in there knowing you're going to land the job. Im 32 and have been through my share of interviews. I learned to embrace stuttering and to use it to my advantage. My first job was when I was 16 too. It was a landscaping company, then a roofing company when I was 20. I know work I told them at the beginning of both interviews that because, for me, communicating verbally can be a challenge I learned how to use my hands really well and always strive to be the hardest working man in the room to compensate for it. On the other hand, if the job is more customer service or retail you can tell them that through your own experiences dealing with the speech impediment that you're more compassionate and patient because of it. Just take your time and try to relax during the interview. Employers are more interested in seeing how you're overall demeanor and presentation is rather than what you say. And when you do get the job you'll find that having to open up and speak with people more might actually help with the stutter. It worked for me. And remember to maintain eye contact while giving a firm handshake! Smile a alot and keep ya head up. Let us know how it goes!
