You described very well teenager / adult stuttering! Feel relax, we are all like that here, you find yourself with your peers in this forum. There are roughly two kind of stuttering: - Kids stuttering, mostly mechanical, they often go to a speech therapist and it solves after some time - Teenager / Adult stuttering: harder to find a root cause, a mix of genetic / psychology / mechanics. We often have no trouble at all talking to ourselves, or an animal, or a baby. It's often in a social situation that it will occurs. Sometimes it's perfectly fluent, sometimes is the worst. I completely understand what you are living, with the people around us thinking that we just need to "relax and breath", but what they don't understand is that this is what is impossible for us, relaxing and all this.
