Anyone told they would grow out of their stutter?

Anyone told they would grow out of their stutter? When I was going into 4th grade at a new public school, they had the speech therapist lady come and check me out and she said that I'd grow out of my stutter. I'm a freshman in college now and while my stutter is a lot better, I still haven't completely grown out of it. Similar experiences?
