If "putting limitations" can result in increasing the defenses to execute speech (like a protection mechanism). Then what elements are likely a part of "putting limitations"? Let's assume that negative past experiences might reinforce defenses (like a protection mechanism). And also assume this is refined over a lifetime. Other than negative past experiences. What else might reinforce those defenses (that we have at least some control over)? For example, past experiences can lead to over regulation of speech execution. Which other subconscious elements (that we have at least some control over) can result in a too protective, over regulated speech execution threshold? (in your own words)
