Hey, I struggled a hell of a lot with this too. It might sound silly but what helped me was doing it in a sing song voice. Not like singing your name to someone lol but a lot of stutteres can sing perfectly clearly. Use that if it's something you can do but think of your name as a slogan kinda, if that makes sense. It's something we all have to do quite a lot which sucks but the more you do it the easier it will get. Personally I'll go "hey, I'm *breathe* TOkyoATom *smile and breathe*. If it helps you eye contact can be a big help and sometimes acting as though you're confident can help too. Psych yourself up, tell yourself you've got this and try to remember that if anyone says anything negative about your speech, that's their problem. They don't deserve to know your name anyway. That's the best advice I have and I know everyone is different so some of the things I've mentioned might not suit you - and that's okay! Also it's okay to laugh at yourself! If you do block sometimes just being like "god I'm nervous, give me a minute guys" without making it a big deal, if you own your stutter then no one else can one up you if you laugh at yourself. Best of luck to you, OP! Sending good vibes and strength ❤️
