This is being pedantic and you repeatedly to do so in this sub by stating most variations of subconscious/unconscious activity as being 'not a scientifically valid term'. If you require scientific literature on the topic, substantial amounts of peer-reviewed literature exist on PubMed/United States National Library of Medicine. Both 'sub-conscious' and 'un-conscious' terms exist. I presume the vast majority of people in this particular sub already grasp the general concept of subconscious activity without needing constant correction. It is essentially any thought or action performed automatically without being consciously aware of it. If you've ever took a breath of air or blinked without consciously or intentionally thinking about it, you've performed a activity below the conscious level. Unconscious can also be interpreted as a state of being tended to by paramedics on the way to an ER room. Semantics aside, the overall concept itself is very relevant to stuttering, especially when certain situations or thoughts trigger an automatic response. OP has posted (and may again in the future) a useful tip that could work for others, so let's please focus on that without distraction.
