Thanks for taking your time to write that detailed reply, I find it really informative. It is interesting how americans take pride in their individualism, while here in Indonesia, the word 'individualism' is seen as a threat to the values of the people, and is one of the most universally hated words you can find, probably only behind 'communism'. Seriously, the blind hate here towards any mention off individualism (or liberalism) pisses me off. I'm not really sure they even know the meaning of the word.
