I understand the sentiment, I really do. But I wish this sub wasn't so quick to give false hope to people Some of us are doomed for failure. Our speech has crippled our lives to the point where we cannot utter a single word to another person fluently. We have tried speech therapy and everything suggested, even medications. Nothing helps at all. Some of the comments I see on here are almost insulting. Its like telling someone with a mental disorder that they will turn their life around by going to the gym. It asinine, and a completely irrelevant solution. I was in speech therapy for 15 years, and I still have people telling me to go to speech therapy. Guess what? It didnt do anything for me at all. A lot of us just need to face the fact, we are screwed. I dont know why the universe decided to screw us over, but it did. We can act all hopeful and brave, but really there is nothing that can be done for some of us, like me. We need to face this hard truth and deal with it.
