I don't stutter (anymore; used to when I was a kid), but my closest friend speaks with a lot of blocks. Can I do anything that makes him more comfortable? ^I ^stuttered ^when ^I ^was ^a ^kid, ^but ^can't ^remember ^anything ^about ^it ^anymore. ^Only ^know ^it ^because ^my ^parents ^told ^me. ^But ^this ^is ^not ^about ^me... My closest friend has a lot of blocks when he speaks (not really repetitives) which I actually *like* because those pauses give me time to think about what he has said. I mostly stay quiet and wait for him to finish, even when I know exactly what he'll say. Sometimes, when I notice he really can't get it out, I throw in some words from which he can pick one up and continue. Is this good practice? Can I do something else to make him more comfortable?
